What to Expect at a Project Planning & Development Training
This free, three-day training is designed especially for emerging or small-capacity Native-led, Native-serving organizations and territorial agencies—those who may be exploring grant funding for the first time or have limited experience with project planning, or may be planning to apply for an ANA grant in the future. Participants will learn how to develop community-led projects that address real needs, advance long-term community goals, and overcome common challenges. The training emphasizes creating clear objectives and actionable steps that lead to meaningful, measurable outcomes for Native communities.
Hosted by the ANA Pacific Region Training and Technical Assistance Center and funded by the Administration for Native Americans, this hands-on workshop walks participants through a step-by-step planning process that can be used to prepare strong project proposals for a variety of funders, both federal and non-federal. By the end of the training, teams will leave with a well-structured project outline they can confidently build upon and submit for future funding opportunities.
If you have any questions, please contact our Outreach & Project Support Specialist, Angel Permito-Kaheaku, at angel@anapacific.org.

Registering organizations must be eligible for ANA grant funding. If your nonprofit serves Native Hawaiian, Samoan, Chamorro, Carolinian, Native American, or Alaska Native peoples, and if your Board of Directors is 51% or more Native-led, then you are eligible for this free training.
