Pre-Application Virtual Training

Thank you for your interest in our 2026 Pre-Application Training! This virtual, two-day training is offered in four session options where you’ll learn how to address ANA’s NOFO review criteria, highlight the strengths of your community-based project, and navigate the application submission process.

  • Day 1: Overview of NOFO requirements and application components
  • Day 2: A 30-minute one-on-one session for personalized feedback and application support

Eligibility

  • Who these trainings are for:

    Eligibility for this training is limited to public and nonprofit private agencies that serve Native Americans and the Native peoples from Guåhan (Guam), the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI), Hawaiʻi and Amerika Sāmoa. Please see FY2026 ANA NOFOs’ eligibility section for more information.

  • Eligible types of organizations also include:

    • Public and non-profit private agencies serving Native Hawaiians;
    • National or regional incorporated, nonprofit, Native American organizations with Native American, community-specific objectives;
    • Public and nonprofit private agencies serving Native peoples from Guåhan, Amerika Sāmoa, or the CNMI;
    • Native-led colleges and universities located in Hawai’i, Guåhan, Amerika Sāmoa, or CNMI that serve Native American Pacific Islanders;
  • Native non-profit agencies must show that a majority of your board members represent a Native community to be served. For more information, review the Assurance of Community Representation on Board of Directors requirements on the open FY2026 ANA NOFOs.
