Marquina was born and raised on the island of Tinian in the Mariana Islands. She has 8+ years of experience in public service within the education system (K-12 to postsecondary) and has served in external roles supporting the Pacific region/Pacific peoples in diaspora. Marquina is passionate about problem-solving modern issues that the Pacific region faces and is always curious about ways to bridge generations together (from elders to children to adults) to contribute towards a positive future for the Pacific.
